What's with the cards?
Have you ever found yourself in a supermarket, newsagent, or gift shop, staring at walls filled with greeting cards, only to realise that not a single one feels worth the price tag or fits what you really want to say? We get it. That’s exactly where I found myself before starting Salty Melon Prints. I was done with generic designs (I had been seeing for years) and uninspired messages, especially when it came to celebrating the people I love. So, on Valentine’s Day 2024, Salty Melon Prints became a little seed of an idea.
Fast forward nine months and Salty Melon Prints has bloomed with nationwide stockists, a special edition holiday charity card supporting Baby Give Back, and lots of unfiltered fun on social media. I’m living out girlhood dreams of creating pretty things (hand-drawn greeting cards) and have some big delulu goals for this brand, so stay tuned for the ride.
When Salty Melon Prints was born I knew I had to combine quality with a conscience. So every greeting card is printed in Australia on 100% recycled card, and sent with eco-friendly materials sourced exclusively from Australian suppliers. The packaging is recycled, recyclable or compostable, and we say a firm no to plastics. Our wholesale card stands? They’re crafted from sustainable plywood, without any glue or acrylic, by a small local business.
All designs are hand-drawn by me, capturing humour and heart – because life’s too short for boring cards. Whatever the celebration there is something for you.
